Character: Canon Name: Romilda McCoy Vane Nickname: n/a Age: Fifteen Year: Fifth Gender: Female House: Gryffindor Second House: Gryffindor Picture: Um... none... yet XD Celebrity: Er... I dunno. Appearance: Romilda has a prominent chin, long black hair, and large, dark, clear eyes that seem to penetrate one’s soul and read it like a book. She is not ugly, in fact she is quite beautiful, and many boys have fallen for her looks. (Romilda herself does not care; she has another boy in her life. (More info in the Personality section))
She is of average height, neither tall nor short (at least for a 15-year-old). She is not fat, thick, and/or athletic, but is rather small and slim. (No wonder she didn’t make it on the Quidditch team last year.) Clearly, she is not built for sports that require strength and muscle. Personality: Well, to start with, Romilda is very bold (you know, being in Gryffindor and all). She knows what her opinions are and what are not, and is the type of person who will say 'yes' when everyone else says 'no'. She will stick with her opinions even though she knows they are completely wrong - in other words, she is stubborn.
Romilda isn’t dumb, nor is she stupid. She has a quick brain (although it wasn’t quick enough to enter Ravenclaw), and is capable of thinking up the most ingenious (?) plans. (More info in the next paragraph.) She does not receive top grades, but receives the ones just below them. Romilda enjoys reading, but not the sensible ones that Hermione reads. She only reads those when she has to, and enjoys reading magazines more.
Romilda is, without doubt, a teen, and at the age of a high-school sophomore, she is not without a love interest – the rising hero, legendary 7th year Harry Potter, whose life interest is to hunt Voldemort down and get rid of him once and for all. However, Romilda’s feelings for Harry are, as far as we readers know, merely classified as ‘a teenage crush’, and even she knows she will not succeed in catching Harry as a boyfriend, although she has tried (the love potion incident in the sixth book). Who knows? Soon, another boy might enter Romilda’s life... and heart...
However, Romilda herself doubts it. She seems to think herself that she is the only girl good enough for Harry (which is far from the truth). Note her attitude towards Neville and Luna on the Hogwarts Express last year. She is very vain, and if there was a Miss Hogwarts beauty contest, I bet 10 galleons that she enters. Family: Father Conrad (47) - Works at the Ministry of Magic (Wizard) Mother Leah (42) – Singer (Witch) Brother Arogan (10) - Will attend Hogwarts next year Sample Roleplaying: Quote:Romilda talked on and on to the excited group of girls in the same crowded bathroom.
"And I'll give the potions to him! He's bound to invite me to Slughorn's party then!" More giggles.
"But how will you slip Harry a love potion?" one girl with long, flowing blond hair asked.
"Put an Imperius curse on him," suggested another girl and the lot burst into giggles - again.
Romilda noticed a sixth-year old with bushy brown hair give them a scornful look and walk away.
"That's Hermione Granger, and she's a prefect. Mind you, she's Harry's friend, so be careful around her," the blond girl said.
"I know!" Romilda yelled quite suddenly. "My grandmother sent me a box of Chocolate Cauldrons two days ago. I honestly don't care for them, they're still on my bedstand. They're firewhisky, but I'll empty them out and fill them with love potion. Unelss Granger tips him off, we'll have no trouble in making - no, persuading - him to invite me to Slughorn's party.
More giggles.
Romilda added as an afterthought, "Poor Harry." |
